[ARCHIVED] County Sheriff Chuck Smith reported several recent arrests made

“On April 22nd, 2021,Search Warrant Old Raleigh Road April 2021 (003) the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office along with the Upson Regional Narcotic Task Force executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Old Raleigh Road, Woodbury, Georgia. The search warrant execution was a result of an undercover narcotics investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics from the location. During the search warrant execution narcotic agents recovered over 13 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, and baggies which are commonly used in the distribution of illegal drugs. Narcotic Agents also recovered a 12-gauge pump shotgun from the residence. Joshua Scott Kirkendoll, W/M, 37 YOA was arrested and charged with the offenses of V.G.C.S.A. Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Kirkendoll was transported to the Meriwether County Jail and charged as stated. Kirkendoll posted a $20,000.00 bond.





On April 28th, 2021, Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Agents were working interdiction on I-85 SB in Meriwether County, Ga. During the operation agents observed a silver in color Jeep Compass traveling southbound on I-85 in which the driver performed a moving traffic offense and was not wearing a seat belt. Our agents conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle identifying the driver as Edward Lee Robinson Jr. B/M, 38 YOA, of Woodland, Ga. During the traffic stop investigation our narcotic agents observed indicators that illegal narcotics were in the vehicle which included the odor of raw marijuana emitting from the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle Robinson fled on foot into a wooded area adjacent to the interstate. After a brief foot chase, he was apprehended without further incident. Agents located over 5 pounds of marijuana in the rear trunk area of the vehicle. U.S. Currency was also traffic stop I-85 Narcotic Arrest April 2021 (002)recovered in denominations consistent with the illegal drug trade. Edward Lee Robinson was arrested and charged with V.G.C.S.A. Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Obstruction of an Officer. Robinson was transported to the Meriwether County Jail and charged as stated. Robinson was released on a $9,000 bond.” Sheriff Chuck Smith said.
