On October 28, 2021, Meriwether County Sheriff Chuck Smith along with Meriwether County Courthouse Officials and Staff recognized Captain Franky Whitlock for 25 years of dedicated and loyal service to the citizens of Meriwether County. Captain Whitlock has approximately 36 years of law enforcement experience with 25 years of service and counting employed with the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office. Captain Whitlock is the divisional supervisor for the Court Services Division.

“Captain Whitlock does an exceptional job for our agency, and I depend on him daily to handle the safety and security of our courthouse and proceedings. Captain Whitlock goes out of his way to assist the courthouse staff and our citizens that are in need. I could use Captain Whitlock to lead other divisions within the agency with his years of experience and knowledge, however I would have a fight on my hands with these ladies in the courthouse. That is a fight I do not want to have. The courthouse staff and area merchants are crazy about Franky. Captain Whitlock has served our community well and he continues to do so. My staff and I want to congratulate Captain Whitlock on this milestone.” Sheriff Chuck Smith said.
